I'm used to N8, C905, and this unit did not please me in the PHOTOS.

N8 as well as C905 launched at prices that exceeded 500 EUR. The Xperia U launched at around 280 EUR and is now selling. You can check the Esato database for this info.
Now, saying that you're used to better quality from phones that were launched at twice the price (the N8 is still selling at a higher price) is unfair to the phone. You're comparing a mid-range device to flagships that were priced twice as much at launch.
And the picture quality itself is really not that bad.

The only thing I do not like it, is your camera. As a multimedia device, it is excellent.
