Excellent shot , but I'm not sure 808 better than N8

Sassho...

I Understand Your Hesitation, Because Both NSERIES N8 And 808 PUREVIEW Are Amazing Cameraphones !

However, I Believe That The Front 808 Is N8 Especially As Regards The Details And The Total Absence Of Noise !!!

Pure View - Poor Colors :D Noise is not important , detail is better in N8. For better quality/detail in 808 , images need resize from 41mp to 12 or 8mp.

I like low noise.. that way the pictures are easy on the eye ;) detail is good enough.

For reference :-)

I personally like the color output of the 808 Pureview, they're very natural. Lack of noise gives the shots a very eye pleasing feeling and the pictures can easily be harpened after that. In fact, the thing I never liked about many N8 shots was that the pictures were TOO sharp (as in: obviously oversharpened). You can always take a Pureview shot and apply a sharpen filter to it. You can never take an N8 shot and apply a "Pureview" filter to it :-)

All in all, I'm liking every photo i see from this device. If only the price tag would not be so vile...

That picture was taken in different lighting conditions..much better actually, the sun was way lower, so the light was much softer. You can tell by the shadow from the fence on the grass :)

Price sucks..
And yes, I share your opinion, the color reproduction is very natural, almost too much for some people. If you like punchy colors, you won't like the raw data from the 808. But overall the pictures are very nice to look at, overall, I am very happy with the results. They are not perfect, but they tried to achieve several different things, which is hard to do with the size constraints.
