hi, how do you make mp3's smaller so they take up less space? I want to do this so i can send them to my P900. cheers

convert it and change the bitrate to a smaller number....
But I would recommend making .ogg files instead... the take less space and are in better quality...
P800 - P910i - P1i - and some non-P  phones... |

i agree to use .ogg player once you change the sampling frequency to below 44.1 kHz you start to severly degrade your audio. if its just for a ringtone its fine but not for music playback etc |

Check the Cdex S/ware. Its possible to get Codecs (.dll files) like Lame ENC to re-write at lower bitrate.
db PowerMP3 too allows reasonable tweaks

As an example i have a K750i - I have lots of .mp3 files and i used ITunes to convert them all to .m4a files because they get great quality but from smaller file sizes, i'm unsure about the P** but if they can accept and play .m4a files then i could guide you through how to create them
Hope this helps because i haven't converted many .ogg files and am VERY unsure whats the best program etc. to use to do that.

iv just downloaded a ogg converter. do you know what would be needed to play the songs on my P900?
