calls blocked |

Today, an icon appeared on my T610 that looked like a phone icon with a diagonal line through it. I could not call, or receive calls or texts while this was here. (I have seen it in the SE guide, but there is no explanation of how to conjure it,(by a shortcut?)
After most of the day trying to get this icon to go away, to no success, I then simply turned the phone off then on, and it went away.
What I want to know is how this appeared in the first place? All I know is that I put it in my pocket after reiceiving and reading a text message, and when taking it out again, the icon was there and I received no texts for the whole day, until it disappeared, then all the messages came in. |

i think it is the call restriction function, which needs to be enabled by the network, not very sure mind. |

why would they do this?
Is there any shortcut that can be pressed in standby that would trigger the phone to block incoming AND outgoing calls?
Ive read this should be done for exmaple to stop calls when in a foreign country (since its really expensive) but that process is long and cannot block both outgoing AND incoming calls. |
