Seen w800 and k750. Both gorgeous! |

I have been complaining about the lack of some things (particularly UMTS) on both of these models. My company was sponsor at a horse ride show here in Switzerland and the stand next to ours was the one of SonyEricsson. They showed the k750 and, for the first time here in Switzerland, the W800.
They are amazing!! The whole idea of the stand was to take pics of people, print them, via :bt: with an HP printer and hang them up.
Overall the quality of pics is amazing for a phone.
I can also, finally, tell which is the best between k750 and w800...
I thought k750 would be the best but I have to acknowledge that the w800 won my very personal competition.
They both have the exact same functions (except minor differences like flash (which you can have as an option on w800 anyway)).
The overall building quality of the w800 is better. More solid, better keyboard (more like the t610 which, with my big fingers, is way easier to use than the k700 / k750 one).
I have also seen both branded and unbranded k750s. Go for the unbranded ones! You will pay a lot more but, on the other hand, you will own a phone which is worth every penny you paid for it!
I am waiting for UMTS phones by  but the wait has become, since this weekend, a painful and long countdown. I might even get a w800 in the meantime (am I or am I not a long Ericsson / SonyEricsson fan!!! (as well as a very long time user of esato)).
Just one more footnote...
The SonyEricsson team was an outsourcing team for marketing (they go, on behalf of to all shows and events in Switzerland). I had to show them esato and all the wonders this site contains for users. They told me they will look at it in future and get some infos from here! 
Ok, that's all for now.
In conclusion: the two phones k750 and w800 are undoubtedly the best ones around at this time!

im still having mixed feelings. first i thought the w800, then the k750, then the w800 but now im starting to like the k750 better. looks more smart and less orange. besides i have a good mp3 player so i wouldnt use the one on the w800 so i think the k750 would meet my needs.

I took my K750i back to get an ipod mini silver 6 gig and a K700i. Best decision i've ever made.

same, but i have a good mp3, but the idea is having it all in 1, i have a good camera too, but i like to think i have a phone, a video camera, a megapixel camera, an mp3 etc. on a tiny device in my pocket. to be honest the k700 was a good enough mp3 player so k750 will be better, and i find mp3 features are the advantages of w800 over k750, so thats why im going for k750 (right now, anyway)

Personally I favour the w800 because I don't own an MP3 player yet, while I do own a camera (5 Mpx Cybershot).
I think that putting a good MP3 player in a phone is a lot easier than doing so with a camera (good optics DO TAKE SOME SPACE, no matter how you look at it).
So I really do not consider an MP3 player phone a compromise... I consider a camera phone as a compromise, but maybe that will change in the future.
To be honest I really don't mind the orange colour, I consider it beautiful, at least the one I have seen live on a real phone. Besides, people at Esato will surely come up with some tricks to "tune" your phone as the always do 
Anyway, I consider the w800 a superb phone, even if my question mark is on the menu. Having all these animated menu icons will make navigation slower?? Not that they charge slowly, it just takes time to run the animation...
Besides, I HAVE TO CHANGE PHONE. My Vodafone menu on the k700 made me hate the phone. Now, even if I will go rid of it, the phone has lost some magic! (the k700 was given to me "branded" by my boss at work). I still use my private t610 a lot because of that. And this impacts on my bills...
