What Bluetooth PC-card is the best? I see there are many choices, but which one is the best? I got a laptop comp., running Windows2000 pro. Thanks for any suggestions.

I am running the Motorola bluetooth pc card and it seems to sync up ok(ish) with Outlook. I do get the od dropout it thats the same with Ir too.

Johan : I know that the Anycom pc card is good,..and they do have a good website too,..thinking about drivers/updates and so on.
TDK is also good,..know quite a lot of people that uses this one. No problems.
I think its pretty hard to say, which is the best,..according to the people that I know, who uses these cards,..they all seems to work well.
The only problem right now seems to be the missing XP-drivers,..hehe.
But the new drivers will come very soon, for the people who need them 
Another way to connect, would be to get a bluetooth usb dongle,..this can be used for either laptop or desktop.
Of course its bigger than a card,..but the usability is higher and its normally cheaper than a pc card.
Works fine too.

GoWin : it depends I guess on the brand.
The one I saw was cheaper than the pc-card.
The pc card was approx. 1850 dk.kr.
The dongle was approx. 1350 dk kr.
The pc card was the Anycom. The dongle was a "no-name", meaning it didnt say
But it was the newest bluetooth version, so it probably works fine.

That's kinda expensive. 3com's USB BT adapter is approx US$ 120 (about 1,004.39 DKK) S&H exclusive of course.

I have a 3Com Bluetooth card. I have both positive and negative things to say. Like the hardware with the antenna that can stowe away (XJACK) inside the card. I have one card exchanged (DOA) and the service from 3Com was OK. Still does not like the SW for the card and the SW can only establish one connection at a time (must be something wrong - but 3Com says it's Bluetooth specs - i say that is BS - bluetooth specs state 1 server and 7 slaves)
I really would like to hear someone that has more than one bluetoot connection established at once. I tried to have the iPaq connected with ActiveSync3.5 (worked fine alone) and when trying to sync my T39 the Bluetooth COM port fails to open.... must be a bug !
Does anyone have experience in this area ?!?!?!! |

I wonder whether anyone managed to connect the HBH-15 Bluetooth headset to a laptop with a Bluetooth card. The laptop sees the HBH-15 but doesn't know what to do with it. One possible applications is to listen music from a laptop via the HBH-15 headset. I'm looking for HBH-15 Bluetooth profiles. Thanks. |

Hi!
I have tryed this 3COM's USB bluethoose adapter - this wasn't good  (but as I know it is cheapest now).
Syncronization with MS Outlook on desktop PC & T68m was impossible!!!
At the end I have connected to Internet trough this bluethoose adapter but it wasn't so easy ... it was so much problems with connecting trough T68m's modem and all this problems you will expirience again when trying to connect next time!
Only sending pictures to T68 was fine and worked MUCH BETTER & FASTER than through IRDA! |

hello guys,
on the last weekend i went to the ericsson shop and a have tried the
nokia bluetooth card. the reason is. i have a t68i with the camera. and if i send the pictures with e-mail, this is very expensiv( 10kb= 0,39 cent) and with the bluetooth card you can send the pictures and calender information very fast.
the problem is this card is in the moment very expensiv 229.
it is a good thing ,this bluetooth

I have a Xircom Bluetooth card and XTNDConnect PC for Ericsson. I can establish a conection but i canīt sync with Outlook, via Bluetooth. It works via Ir. Is there any other good software?

I have xircom BT pccard. With the old drivers 1.05 connecting to more than 1 slave was possible. The new 1.1 drivers allow only 1 connection.

I've just got the TDK usb dongle, and I'm really impressed, really easy to set up and pair with the T68, and it comes with it's own phone book and sms editing software. I bought the dongle as I have both a laptop and desktop and I can swap them with no trouble, also got the bluetooth SD card for my palm, what a great purchase, no more messing around with cables, bluetooth has got to be the way of the future |

I use a Socket CF bluetooth card which will work in a Pocket PC or a PCMCIA socket with an adapter.
I bought this because it is a true CF size without extended antenna.
Socket have no official PC drivers yet (probably End May) but I am getting my T68 working with my PC by using the alpha drivers.
