Hi,

I have a Pama Pro hardwire carkit (HF02) fitted into my car and it is connected to a SE T630. I have recently upgraded to the SE K750i and you guessed it the connector (to the bottom of the phone) has changed. I called Pama who are still selling the kit to ask for a new lead to fit the K750i, only to be told that they do not have one and it would be unlikely that they will produce one.

I have the old type T630 connector lead and was wondering if I could purchase another USB data lead for the K750i and cut off the cable and patch it to the T630 lead to make the connection. If this is possible can someone give me the pin out connections for the K750i so I can make a cable that will work. Currently the pins on the lead cable that plugs into T630 are as follows.

Looking at the plug from left to right with the UP logo on the plastic housing facing me:

Left-Large plastic pin- brass pins at the 1 and 2 - 3,4,5,6, are blank slots and not connected- brass pins at 6 and 7 - small plastic pin is next- 1 blank slot 8- then another small plastic pin- finally two brass pins at 9 and 10- with another large plastic pin.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Hey David,

Goodluck with this, though I don't think You'll have too much luck. The interface is a completely different type, USB as opposed to Serial (on the older conenctor)

It's probably not just a matter of pin outs but software needed in the carkit too.

Hi Gigs,

I understand what you are saying.

Hopefully when I find out the pin connections for both the T630 and K750i I will be able to give it a try.

The rational behind this is that I have a USB lead that connected to my PC via the connectors on the bottom of both the T610 & T630 . I was able to upload and download via the PC to the phones.

All I need to find out is the pin configuration for both the T630 & K750i and I will give it a go.

Need to buy another USB K750i cable to experiment with. Do you know where I can get one cheap?

Cheers
David

I am trying to do this as well...

Get a K800i working with the HF02 wired kit so trying to find pinouts for K800i...

I guess the car kit should in theory work with new phones as I had this kit working with my pop port nokia 6280....

So hopefully if I can get all the pinouts I can get it working... I guess the pins I need are; power + and - , mic + & -, line-out + & - and if there is a pin to tell the phone a car kit is installed...

Cheers
