My contract is due to finish at the start of Aug. I was thinking of gettin the W800 but was waiting for it to come out and get initial impressions.
Mu question is; Do you have to do all this retentions, wheeler-dealer stuff before the contract has ended or can you do it after (is there a deadline after which you're signed up automatically for another year?) |

no run out time. you can wait as long as you want.
The 12 month contract thing you signed for is a commitment to pay for 12 months minimum you can let it run on even more if you wish to.
I am in the same situation as you and my contract ends on 12august but i will be waiting to try and get a good deal on the w800 so i will wait maybe another month and then ring to see the offers

They won't better the Select 500 deal, so a free phone is all Im hoping for! |

According to the newest CPW mag (which i picked up today) it will be free on orange if your tarrif is £30 or over, and it will be released on aug 12th. But there is still no official news from SE or Orange on the matter |

I waited till the 13th month of my contract for my free K750i upgrade. Around months 11-12 they were asking silly money and they had freezing issues with the handset anyway (no probs whatsoever with freezing now). |
