Hi all, this is my first serious post here, please be kind

I've tried finding a solution for my quest by Ggling and check all forums lite Esato but haven't found it, unbelievable!

I am looking for software for phones (in particular for my P900, so Symbian software) that connects to my own SMSC (the server to which your phone connects when sending an SMS (its a normal phone number with a server connected to it), and can send a specially crafted SMS. By crafted I mean you can provide a sender ID, a life time of the message, flashSMS or not etc!
As known there are a lot of PC programs who dial up to an SMSC and send the data. It is very simple and I've already typed an SMS message in NOTEPAD (which is complicated, you have to understand the SMS protocol with all it's by '|' seperated fields etc.) and sent it succesfully by dialling in with HyperTerminal! I even have an internal service document about the protocol and the service manual of a CMG SMS Server System!
It should be very simple for a programmer to make such a program for Symbian, but I can't program :/

Does anyone knows a program for Symbian which can create specially crafted SMSes and send them directly to an SMSC?
Or does anyone capable of programming for Symbian have interest to do so, with or without my help? I think it should be easy, as I can do what I want with a Windows PC, a modem, HyperTerminal and Notepad
Would be cool eh, to create FlashSMS or SMS with other Sender IDs, just from you phone.

-I am NOT talking about programs who only let you use THEIR SMSC so you have to buy 'credits' or pay THEM, this is just making money!-

Thanks!

I wont pretend to understand much of the technical parts in your post, but from an ethical point of view I cant help feeling like I would want to ask, whats the purpose ? What do you need this for ? Is it for spam ? is it for harrasment ? is it for spreading virus ?
Somehow it sounds fishy to me, sending flash sms with false sender ID using your own SMSC instead of someone elses etc.
You say you dont want to use someone else's SMSC because thats just making money, or is it really a matter of trying to hide your identity ?

Please dont read this as an attack on you, but simply as enlighting questions on my part in trying to understand what you really ask for

Oh no, I do not take this as an attack. I am the opposite of a spammer or 'bad guy'
I am just a tech. nerd who would be pleased to send 'crafted' SMSes to people just as a joke etc.
I just want to be able to use all features possible not only the ones SE 'sells' us, and show people we can, how sad it may be
Another reason is that its cheaper (you dont pay per SMS but normal phonerate, so especially nice when sending more than 1 (group?).
If I WOULD be a spammer or bad guy I would NOT do this from GSM but from PC (as I already can and did) because then you are totally anonymous (no IMEI and CID etc.) and you could do as many as you want, automated, and from a land line (cheaper).

You would like to joke around with friends right? Or send cool pop-up flashSMS to friends?
