Hello!

I'm interested in buying an HBM-30 from Expansys for the purpose of using it as a stereo headset for my BT-enabled PDA/Phone and on my computer. I'm not planning on using the built-in mp3 player which I read here sucks battery juice like crazy.

Is the above setup possible?

Thanks in advance!

No, the bt headset profile on the hbm-30 only supports mono voice audio. You will be able to hear amr sound sources only (some ringtones, videos with amr encoded sound tracks). The only stereo you will hear on the HBM30 is the mp3 player itself. I'm not sure how it handles stereo mp3 ringtones - they probably work, but I expect phone sounds (ringer, alert, alarm etc) would be dumbed down by the headset profile - so what you hear in the hbm30 would be mono.

You need a bt headset with a stereo headset profile -

(however you may need a phone with a stereo bt headset profile to listen to your phones stereo audio through the headphones)
