hi there,
M confused which phone to buy.. SE K700i or Samsung D500. I am a user from india and the price diference between the 2 is about Rs. 5000 (approx USD 110).. is it worth paying that much more for the D500... please advise...

featurewise D500 n K700 are identical (xcpt that D500 has 262k display, 1.3 mp camera and 92mb mem vs K700i's 65k, vga camera and 41mb mem), D500 is probably the sexiest phone i have ever laid my hands on.. but the price difference is quite a bit..
I would like to know a few more things abt the phones though:
1) i have heard some interpolation thing abt K700i, using which we can get pic resolution of abt 1280*960...
2) How is d computer connectivity of both the phones.. D500 has a USB port whereas K700 dosnt.. does that effect the comp connectivity..
3) Is it possible to load additional softwares in either of these phone like nokia phones (eg. 6600)
Maybe clarifications to these would help me make up my mind..
thanks..

kush..

I think its down to personal choice. If it were me, id choose the D500, its more of an up to date phone.

However, if you're willing to pay that little bit more, you could always buy the K750i, or wait a little longer for the D600.

1. the K700i can produce 1280x960 size pictures, but they're pretty poor. If you want a megapixel cameraphone, you're better off avoiding the K700i.

2. the K700i can use a cable, but its sold seperately. The K700i wins hands down with Bluetooth however, it is far more compatible with Bluetooth computers than the D500, and in most cases Bluetooth is the preferred connectivity option for most consumers.

3. both phones support Java applications and games. However, neither are smartphones like the 6600, so do not expect the applications to be very complicated.

Big deal. I rarely used it anyway.

The D500 has much more memory, so it can store more mp3s.
