Is there any way for me to upgrade the firmware for my HBH-660? I have the DSS-25 if it makes any difference, which I've used in the past for upgrading my K700i. Taking the headset to an SE service center is not an option since there isn't any here in my country. Please tell me that SE's online update service supports bluetooth headsets as well !!

Thanks.

I did that but I can't find a link for a firmware update, similar to the link I can find for my K700i. Can you please be more specific if you have something in mind?

Its not a carkit, its a bluetooth headset. You are correct hough. You cannot upgrade a headset or carkit by yourself. I dont know if a service centre can do it. It might be worth phoning your local service centre. Why do you need to upgrade its firmware anyway?

I guess only 'MA' can do this. No third party tool has implemented it, although a while ago i know it was talked about. So only a service centre can help.........

The reason I want to upgrade is because I found a post here at Esato a few days ago (I can't find it now!), which listed all the improvements in an updated firmware of the HBH-660 and those are problems I currently have to deal with. Anyway, I'll see what I can do about finding an SE service center ...

Thanks.

If your headset is not a HBH-660, there is little chance SE will upgrade it to becoming one. They will surely recommend that you purchase one. Second, the HBH-660 has the caller ID feature and is the only headset that has this feature (I think). Finally, what problems are you having?

If its nto a 660 there still maybe firmware updates available for the headset..

Though the original post didn't mention it not being a 660.

Yeah I did sapporo.. Did you?

Why bother mentioning you can't upgrade the headset from another model? He was just asking about software upgrades. Why not just answer the question simply instead of creating confusion.

My reply was to you, inferring if he may have been trying to turn a non hbh-660 into one, which since he CLEARLY posted he had an hbh-660 was just confusing to the original point and completely unnessecary imo.

I missed that part. I understood he wants to upgrade into something else. Regardless there is no way to "self-upgrade" the headset.

I don't know if you'd want to trouble yourself of sending in your headset, but there is one available.

Great find. Only thing is, how to find out the software version on the headset.

Great find indeed! Anybody here knows if I can trust these guys though? Btw, to clear up any confusion, I do have an HBH-660 whose firmware I want to upgrade. One of the main fixes I remember that I would like to have is regarding a problem with the headset losing its connection with the phone, if it is turned on for more than 20hours.
