AirTel doesn't have a uniform tariff for its GPRS services. A person using AirTel's GPRS (unlimited access) service in part of Mumbai is paying Rs.5 per day which comes to about Rs.155 per month. For the same service AirTel is charging Rs.250 in Kerala. Tamilnadu AirTel customers are the most affected GPRS customers. In Tamilnadu for the same GPRS service AirTel is charging Rs. 600 per month. Why this vast difference in GPRS tariff. Many Tamilnadu customers are paying this amount with out knowing that they are paying more than double the amount of what a Keralite is paying in the adjacent state of Kerala for the same service.

What @jamalmohd is saying is absolutely TRUE but what to do @Rs.600/- there is no one to match airtel's offer here ...i heard BSNL gprs is crap ....

For everyone out there for Rs.600/- p.m you get full fledged GPRS

Does Airtel allow using these services on roaming when customer is in other circle ? Maybe then one can pick a spare SIM from there. Orwise I fail to see why I'd be keen to pay the same rate as normal broadband for wirefree Connectivity that proves *mediocre* in comparision.

@sai

Airtel does offer GPRS connectivity at no extra charge while on roaming....I can vouch since I have used it personally, when i had gone to kerala in late April....connectivity is uninterrupted...no problems faced whatsoever
