Hi,

bought to credits from davinci and launched their client connected to my k700 through dss-25 (which shows as dss20 under Device Manager, is this normal?)

I used my first credit to unlock the phone which apparently went well, no errors but not tested a different sim card yet.

However when I tried flashing to the newest formware R2Y, I first flashed cda29 to cda36 succesfully and then in the middle of flashing the r2y firmware I was getting block not accepted errors , I kept removing the battery reinserting and switching the phone on again, but now the phone has been dead and I left the battery out for almost 30 minutes and still it wont switch on?

What should i do?

I had the same problem with my S700i ( see this: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=94279#post1314242 ) and i had to flash an old firmware (that i had, not taken from Davinci FTP) with a generic CDA information, and after that, I got the latest firmware from SEUS.

Well, my biggest problem now is switching on the phone, I believe to flash anything you need to push the on button slightly. That doesnt work now

How long should I wait with the battery removed from the phone?

Maybe, 10 seconds i think. But would suggest you to reboot your PC and try again.

I left the battery outside for an hour but still the phone will not turn on when I place the battery back in.

Will it turn on again? What must I do to recover it?

You must complete the flashing procedure. After that, you must do the finalization procedure. Your phone won't start without that.
If you're having problems with the latest firmware, try flashing another one (an older firmware instead).

The "press power button" isn't there to turn the phone on, it's so that Davinci gets a signal via the cable to start the phone flash.

You should still be able to restart the phone flash using Davinci even though the phone won't currently turn on.
Leaving your battery out for 2 years will not help, if the firmware isn't complete in the phone's flash it won't power on.

Well, even if I press the power on button the davinci client still keeps waiting the power button to be pushed, meaning it doesnt get the signal or what?

The thing is davinci client now doesnt work anymore

I keep pressing the power button but it remains there

I desperately need help, I emailed davinci support but no response yet

Are you sure your battery isn't just flat?
That's how it would seem to me, either that or something is taking over the COM port on your PC.

I've never seen a flash manage to kill a phone so badly that you can't still boot it into service mode somehow.

I have put it on the charger but there is no visible indication that it is charging

When on the cradle, if i press the power button, the green led on the dss-25 lights up when I release the power button on the phone, the green led goes back off

i noticed that you are flashing cid36 file... and your phone is cid29

try using latest client http://www.davinciteam.com/client.zip

take off battery and start

try to get the cid29 to cid36 file from the FTP

upload w/o finalization

then upload MAIN and FS (check the main and fs)(make sure u got cid36 file)

then finalized it (1 credit)

hope this works [addsig]

Hello

Indeed the battery was flat, after charging it fully I have come back to my original problem, when flashing I get "block not accepted" error.

I have tried to reduce the speed of DSS3 to 115200 but still getting this error.
