Hi!

I got an unlock code for my Sharp 902 from Voda..

and was told to put the other sim i.e. a Japanese Voda -sim, or another network sim before following the procedure to enter the code..

Does this seem correct? They said I have to do it that way to enable the 'new' sim to work ...

Yes!

Wonderful idea! You know, I thought of that toooo!!

But what could go wrong? I do not want to unlock it with my UK VOda sim in it, only to find a Japanese Voda seem then does not work..

Just borrow a SIM from a friend. Itīs true you will need a SIM from an operator the phone is NOT locked to. I donīt know why though, i just know itīs true.

as far as i know, to unlock the sharp handsets on voda, you need to have a voda sim in it, to be able to get to the menu to enter the unlocking codes.

check vodafone unlocking by imei number on www.a site.com where it states this info
