It's just another compression folder format, like .zip or .rar. Use winrar to open it, rarlab.com. I believe only .zip's can be opened by SE phones, so just take all the contents of the .tar, unpack them, then make a .zip.

SE P series can download apps such as symbian zip, Zipman, jzip & sman which can open zip files. I belive jzip is a freewere. My P900 would have been incompleate without sman. But I realy wish they make an app for UIQ to open rar & tar files. |
