Hi,
Have a Z800i but the external LED (little one below the external screen) keeps flashing. How do you turn it off? Thanks.

You can't. It is supposed to flash. Second, it holds steady when it recharges. Did you read the manual?

Yes, I did read the manuel but it only said the LED is a battery indicator and does not say anything about a constant flash. Low battery?

How about connected to network?

In the interest of not drawing this out forever. There is nothing wrong. It is just an indicator.

Well yes it's an indicator! Besides that it indicates low battery and charg states, it also indicated network singnal. If there is no network aviable only than the led stays off.

Is this covered in the manual?

There was a thread here a while ago about people wanting SE to bring back the blue flashing light that was on the T68i

Here, here. I like the lights if for nothing more than just the blinking.

Humm... that LED says nothing to me cause I'm kind of color blind, I se no differens in red or green. Or is it flashing faster or something when the battery is low?

No. The flash comes on about every 2 seconds, regardless of charge state.

i miss the old days (S868) when it blinked really fast for new message... And it kept on blinking until you actually read or discarded the new message!
