Question about vodafone and mp3's on k750i |

I have ordered a k750i from vodafone website yesterday and have been loving the amazing pics seen on this forum that the camera takes, however, i have read some things about Vodafone that worries me, firstly i would prefer a black phone( although this isnt a big deal ) and i emailed them to ask specifically for a black coloured phone, but most importantly, i want this phone for mp3 and have read that there can be issues wiht mp3 on vodafone mobiles, does this mean i cant play mp3's that i have on my pc? and transfer them to my 750i ?
Also what is the mp3 quality like? in comparisoon to a nokia 6230 which i found awfull at playing music, tinny and some kind of compression on the music made it hopeless, where as my old nokia 3300 sounds amazing.............first time post so thanks for any advice |

The problem with vodafone is to do with mp3 ringtones, not mp3's you can use it asa player normally, but you cannot use MP3 ringtones without altering DRM (digital rights management?) I think the mp3s sound fine, but it depends on your bit rate, head phones not great, so i can't wait to get the HPM70 and use my own phones |

I got my Voda branded K750i 2 weeks ago. On the latest firmware, R1L002, you can use MP3s as ringtones. I find the MP3 quality not bad on a high bitrate around 190-200 kbps. If I listen to it on the speaker on the max volume it can be a tad tinny, though. But I usually listen to MP3s through the earphones at a much lower volume. You've got an equaliser on the player, mega bass, treble, etc. I use a much lower bitrate for MP3 ringtones, under 100 kbps & that suits me fine.
As for the black cover, I'm considering ordering one from http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/cat/K750i-Spares.htm Problem is they sell the black keypad, battery cover, back and front separately. Unlike the silver one, which is sold as a unit and is a lot cheaper. Fitting new housing looks really fiddly. I dunno if you need a special screwdriver or something to do it.
