Hi everybody, I've been trying to connect my laptop to GPRS with no success eventhough my palm + t68 gprs connection works great. I've made a new Dial Up connection, left every protocol unchecked except for TCP/IP, IP and DNS blank, it dials *99***2# (which is the APN internet connection on the phone) after it displays Connecting on the phone, and verifying user/password on the laptop it is failed and the message, Error 720, Dial Up networking couldn't negotiate a compatible set of network protocols you specified in the Server settings. I've tried with the additional commands in the modem (AT+cgdcont, etc...)
BTW, I am using telcel in Mexico.}
Regards. =) |

At least on my network, Comviq Sweden, I need to fill in the DNS ip:s.
Try if that helps, you can get them from your sp. |

Got it working now, thanks for your help, I turned the phone off and then on, it must have been some sort of network problem, =)
I get very lousy speed though, 26.7 kbps according to the bandwidth test; however this is a 3 month old network =) and GPRS is only on test status and free.
Thanks again. |

That's a good speed, I'm cruising around 15 on average... But at least it's for free, so I'm not complaining. |
