I know this might sound dumb but i need all the help possible. I'm on holiday now for a month and the bad news is that i 4got my charger back home. So technically i can't charger. And i didnt take my PC2mobile connection since i wont be using it. any idea on how the hell i can charge my battery. Shops here r selling the charger for 30US$ which is a bit xpensive when i actually do have the charger.
any help is really appreciated. |

as long as the computer is switched on everything should be fine and should charge. mine does.
the only thing is that the cable might be faulty

Just a thought.. maybe it requires drivers for phone to recognize it and actually charge it instead of just "linking" it to computer? I donīt remember how my Moto V3 reacted when hooked up to "unknown" computer (as in without MPT installed)

From what i know, as long as there is a current running through the cable, everything should be fine. No need for drivers and stuff. Thats only needed for transfering pictures and multimedia etc.
correct me if i'm wrong.... |

Can't you just go into a shop and ask then to charge it for you for an hour :-) that's what i would do...

My guess is that the USB cable is only good for trickle charging. On all the K750i's I've tested, they won't charge above 85%(ish) on USB. Maybe that also happens with a minimum %age; anything below that just doesn't charge... |

Maybe.. i can tell you that when my V3 died it was impossible to charge via USB anyway. I still think it (computer) needs to be able to identify what device is at the other end of the USB-cable.
Whatīs the harm in trying with the drivers installed anyway? Or you already have?

I already have installed the drivers, but still there is no point. It syas charging and even yesterday i left it over night, the battery dropped down to ZERO. WTF? i was shocked. @ first when i got my first SE phone (K750i) i was xtremely impressed and i dont wanna hate it, but after what's happening, i don't have a good feeling. I don't get why.
As soon as i connect to my laptop or desktop PC, it says charging, i come back after 30 minutes, the battery life has decreased instead of increased. It's like uncharging it instead of charging.
Is it possible for the battery to be not operating the way it should, as in the actual problem is from the battery?
I remember reading somewhere on esato.com someone having the exact same problem as myne.
Any additional ideas is greatly appreciated. |

Just go to a shop as mentioned before.
Explain your problem, I'm sure they will help you.
After all, it only takes 2 hours to charge.

The problem can be related to the PC. A lot of laptops have usb ports that don't supply a strong enough power for some devices (webcams,...).
If that's the case the phone uses more energy for the link with the computer than it actually receives to charge the battery.
Have you tried with the phone turnes off ? |

well un4tunately i aint in london, and i wouldnt actually trust a shop down here to actually charge it for me.
k there is sumthing wrong. i just discovered somthing. i dunno if it worx with u guys, but it does with me.
i realised tht for the mobile to actually charge from the USB port, u actually have to be working on the computer. i know it sounds dumb, but it seems to be working with me. if i leave the computer and go somewhere, it wont charge, it says charging, but the percentage doesn't change. When i'm actually using it, every now and then, the percentage increases.
finally it strted to charge, i hope i dont get ny problems.
thnx to every 1 out there who helped me out. |
