up to 4x digital zoom depending on the picture size. smallest size(160x120)=4x,2x digital zoom
medium(320x240)=2x digital zoom
Large+extended= no digital zoom

no use for zooming anyways, as its only digital zoom and thus completely and utterly useless.

Digital zoom doesnt actually zoom, it just takes some part of the image and resize it.

You get much better "Digital Zoom" by simply taking a picture in highest quality, then rezising it in a proper imageeditor.

Its the exact same thing, except the algorythms used in for instance Photoshop is many many times better than those in a petty mobile cam software.

Then isnt there any need for zoom function? But phones like 6600 can zoom 2x but still maintains 640 resolution.and it has some symbian softwares which makes it zoom upto 8x.

what do you want the zoom for? if it's so you can see an already taken picture better on your screen - then the k750i picture viewing software already allows this. if you're really wanting to take a photo with "digital zoom" - like nokia's 6600 - then you probably don't understand what digital zoom means.
do this experiment -
. download the esato favicon (the one that shows up as the little who-knows-what in your web browser's address bar) -- its url would be http://www.esato.com/favicon.ico
. now take this icon and load it in Paint in windows
. now you see the image as 100% -- go under the View -> Zoom menu and choose custom. select 200% -- this is your nokia doing 2x digital zoom
. you don't magically have a zoomed in clear image like something from CSI, you have an interpolated, crappier, image.
