Hello guys, been reading this forum for the last few weeks since i got my new phone, and have found it to be an enormous help, so firstly thanks!
However, this afternoon i feel i may have come across my first major problem with the handset. I have searched the forum for this problem, but couldn't see anything relating to it.
Basically, i have an Orange handset, with the central homescreen button for shortcuts and favourites etc. I have previously set it to NOT pop up when i got a message, as i liked seeing my girlfriends face when i got a text. For some reason, it doesn't seem to matter how it's set now, because it always comes up with 'new event' popping the homescreen up.
Has anyone suffered from this and do they know a resolution? I'm not prepared to flash the firmware yet, because i'm on the more stable R1A and understand there are quality issues with the newer firmware.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and sorry if this has been covered before, i did look as deeply as i could.
