Crazy Frog has gone from being an ordinary ringtone to becoming a true summerpain, is now becoming a movie. And a Tv-serie. And a Videogame.

From the beginning it was a little animated sequence on the internet, with borrowed sound from Erik Wernquist's froggy character. But when it was bought by Jamba (Jamster) who made it a downloadable ringtune with the name Crazy Frog it all started.

The Frog became a multi-million-indusrty and 150000 ringtunes was sold during the first week in England (hey, clever Britts! )

The productioncompany Katus Film is now discussing if the famous frog's lifetime can become longer.
Sigfrid Söderberg from Katus Film, who's controlling the rights of the frog confirmes for the paper SVD that they will meet with England's biggest productioncompany in the end of the summer to see if it will be possible to make a movie and a Tv-serie of the animated character.

Everything about the movie is top secret but the expectations about the Tv-series are high with 26 or 52 episodes which are 22 minutes each. A videogame with "The Frog" will be avaiable in time for christmas shopping.

I got all info from the Swedish phone-paper Mobil.

I thought their would'nt be demand for anymore crazy frog....but seems like their might be a market out there for this kind of media otherwise the investors would not be putting their money into such a franchise.

Just emagine: The cultural things we leave behind us. Is a few years when they do a re-run on that show and people will say: "That was the biggest thing during that time...."

Well I would be ashamed.

Yeah me too...

The frog should stay an annoying ring tune and not become anything else.

But if it becomes a movie, I hope that the frog dies in the last episode. Which isn't so beliveanle since it wouldn't be allowed to be shown for little kids on TV... Plus they'd be killing their star.

To the marketeers behing the Crazy Frog phenominum (if any of you are reading this): Really quite brilliant. To transform an initially catchy but ultimately irritating ditty, into such a goldmine displays the very best of talent. If you are not too rich already and are looking for new challenges, please PM me - our creative ideas company could do with you on board. Top notch, guys.

*help*

Crazy Frog mobiles? And you thought that Vodafone branding was bad....

And if my girlfriend wants to drag me to the cinema to watch the movie...

Now, Crazy Frog branded motorbikes - a-ding-ding-ding!

And no, I wouldn't buy one!
