What is the difference between a t68i from American (unlocked) and a t68i from Asia (unlocked). I see them on ebay all the time but the plugs in the pictures look like they are from Asia. Is there any difference if they are unlocked????
Please let me know!!! Thanks!

As far as i know the only diff is that the asian version (t68ie/ic) suports chinese input/output & so have chinese chars on the keypad. I also observed that these versions have inconsistent text sizes between the menu, inbox & phonebook.

Oh, I see.
So an American buying one of these phones would see no difference in using it really. The chinese characters appear when entering text, not on the front of the actual phone right? I just want to be able to use the phone and the GPRS options in the US. I don't care if there is Chinese on it too, that is fine.
After hearing that, do you think that if I got one of these phones I would be satified?
Thanks for any response.

The keypad of the T68ie has chinese characters on each key but if that doesn't bother you, all you have to do is disable chinese input and it should work the same way but personally, the text size inconsistency bothers me a lot.
For example, you set the text size to "small". The menu text will be small, but when you browse the phonebook and inbox, the text sizes are large.

i know that the chinese version of the t39 doesn't have english t9 input or EMS, i dunno if this is also true about the t68i though. EMS, prolly is still there but t9 may not be.

the t68i in singapore has both english t9 text and chinese text input. although i understand the model should be t68ie, it is labeled as t68i only. anyone knows why? |
