Flashing a UK Vodafone K750i |

Hi people,
Am about to take delivery of a Vodafone branded K750i and one of the first things I want to do is remove the branding and make the phone updatable via SEUS.
I have read through the threads and think I now understand how to use the DaVinci Team software but I am unclear about the drivers needed to use the USB cable that comes with the phone.
Do I download both the general and flasher drivers from the DaVinci site, and after I do that then what do I do before buying the credit and flashing the phone?
I just want to make sure I don't mess this up.
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, someone must have downloaded these files to flash their phone:) |

Please do a bit of research...there is a whole thread dedicated to debranding with Davinci...the drivers to download are the standard SE USB drivers plus the firmware update drivers...both from the SE support site.
Then you need at least 1 davinci credit and it takes less than 10 minutes to flash the phone, did my Vodafone K750i this very afternoon with davinci....worked a charm as always
Couldn't believe how slow the vodafone branding was, intended to leave it there since i was using the old camera software but i couldn't stand the delays everywhere...SE default firmware is so much quicker |

I did do the research but could only find references to using the Davinci software and was confused by the download files for setting up the cable:(
So you are saying that the set-up files from the SE website are enough before using the Davinci flasher? |

basically the preparation for davinci is the same as for SEUS...if you could do a firmware update with SEUS you can do it with davinci.
The easiest way to get the update drivers installed is just by switching off the phone, unplug the usb cable from the phone but not the computer, press and hold "c" on the phone while plugging the cable back in....you should get a driver install pop-up on the computer ... point it at the unzipped update driver and you're good to go
With davinci, download the latest K750i flasher from the site, unzip and run...on the main screen enter the username and password provided by the person you bought the log from and press "Info" ... should confirm the number of credits you have
From that point you can just follow the instructions posted everywhere else on these threads |

one more quick point, you can also test to ensure the phone triggers the software by doing a "Read CID/Test Cable" in davinci...if you can get a result from this and you get a number of 1 or higher in the "Info" on your credit you're good to go |

@synagence
Thanks. I'll give it a go and cross my fingers (and toes)! |
