hi guys i've just bought the HBH-660 headset, but there is a problem in its light. the thing is that everything works just fine, even the light does, but whenever i get a call the headset shows the number but the light does not light up. and also during a call when i try to increase the volume the light does not light up. please help if someone knows about this problem.

delete the paired headset from your phone and then do a master reset on your headset and do the pairing process with the phone from the start also do an update on your phone from here http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]3_2&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10183 [addsig]

I've tried doing all that, but it doesn't help. I'm using a P900 and its software is up to date. I've even tried it with a P910, but the problem is same. any other suggetions, PLEASE...

Have you tried to contact the nearest SonyEricsson service center?

I guess they can help you out.

well that's the biggest problem. i bought this headset from another country as it was not available in mine, and the warranty is not global. any other suggestions, please.

Send it back to the country of purchase, or look on the site to see where to get it serviced in that country.

I thought the P series handsets did not support the caller id feature of the 660/2 headsets. Is the name being displayed?

Yes, the display does show the caller name. only the p800 doesn't show the caller name, but the p900 and p910 does.

there's no other service centre in my country that would do it and going back from where i bought it is not the easiest option i guess you will also agree.

any other suggestions...
