In the case of the MSI BT adapter, i get an alert popup from the system tray. I just click it so i can type in the passkey

mine isn't the msi adapter and i don't get a pop up. is there a way that i can set a fixed passkey so that i only have to enter it in the phone when establishing connection.

same brand as i got.

when your phone starts the pairing process, you will see a small pop-up by your system tray. double-click the bluetooth icon and type the passkey from there.

hope that helps.

by the way, we have another MSI BT discussion thread here in ESATO.
