heyy
okay, here is whats goin on. my friend has a programmer for his ford F350. it looks like this
you connect the cable to the box u see there, then hook the other end to your trucks computer and awnser a few questions.
while one end goes into the truck, the other end is a serial port.
if i hooked the serial port up to a laptop, and brought it out to the truck, is there any way for me to tweek my truck settings? is there any programs out there made for this?
is there anything i can do to mess with this?
the programmer can only be used once. well it can be used multiple times, but it will only work on one truck at a time. and maybe this could make it work on more than one truck at a time.
thanks! |

Im no proffessional but its possible I think, you would have to remap all the settings to get optimum performance. also you might need the help of a dyno...
I think carkitter will no more... |

i want to give my truck more horsepower, better gas milage, and these programmers will set your speedometer right if u have big tires. if you have big tired, your speedometer will be off, and it fixes it. |

Its very possible, software is not readily available, will cost well over #1000 if bought. You do need to know what your tweaking, you can alter ignition timing etc. But if it all go's wrong, bye bye truck |
