I was just going through the promotional campaign pics uploaded by folks on sony ericsson's promotional Martin Parr Campaign page (Can be found Here , click on "take your best shot with martin parr").. And i went to the gallery pictures - Clicked on the "top 10" pics and i was shocked to find that the Pic with the highest votes so far is a wallpaper picture that i have had on my PC since well over an year now...It has apparently been "clicked" by a guy named "Andr Bache Wiig" and contributed to the campaign (He Even claims that it was clicked by his T610 and that if he had the K750i it would have been better)... Well any idiot would know this HASN'T been clicked by the T610, because the resolution is so good..
If you want to check it out for yourself Click on Take your best shot with martin Parr> enter your location>Wait for the Sandtimer to finish> Click on "Menu" on the far left> Click on " the gallery" > Click on "Top 10"
I'm Sorry for starting a thread like this, but my point is that i wouldn't want him to Win the top prize in that competition, because he's a liar and i'd like to see a genuine guy get the prize (There are so many other really good pictures).. So please do not vote for him... and pls. go to the site and give the pic a minimum rating (1/10) so that he get's knocked off...
By the way here's the pic that he claims he took... I had got it in a mail a really long time back and it's been my wallpaper since..

I have seen that picture several times before on a few different websites.
I would suggest that everyone votes against it so we can get him out of the top 10.

guess the only thing you can do is to get as many people as possible to rate it as low as possible...

Yup... Hopefully People would do that... Just checked the properties of the pic on my comp.. it says "Modified in jan 2004" so it's pretty old...

I think most of the photos in the top 10 look pretty suspect!
Or is that just me being a sceptic

ha ha..yup.. can never really tell which are fake, but this guy went a bit too far... Claiming a Japanese mountain to be in Norway on a Sony Ericsson Site (ironical)... Plus claiming he clicked it with a T610 is unbelievably atrocious...

How about the fallen leaves picture? It's caputured on 4 June this year. I thought trees lost their leaves in the autumn The K750 wasn't even out last year. |

Hmm.. Good point. I just checked again and realised it's nowhere mentioned that the pics have to be clicked with the k750i..or atleast i think so.. Funny when i began seeing the pics i had automatically assumed they were all clicked by the k750.. Weird. What's the purpose of this contest?

The top 10 pics all seem to be extracted from the Webshots image galleries. I recall having the waterfall one. And the Mount Fuji picture made the rounds of magazines because of the curious atmospheric condition that generated that type of cloud.
Shame on SE for being so gullible... or outright fake! No wonder, since the infamous image of that bridge on the K750i on all promo images, and the 'nice&easy' pic-taking on its tv ad (in Italy it portrays two people taking a couple of photos of fish in quick succession)... it takes me some 2 seconds of holding still my K750i to after clicking to capture the image I want on camera!! |
