Background picture problem on T68 |

Hi I'm new on the list and I have a question.
I have a T68 upgrated to T68i.
I use My Pictures and a serial cable to send
pictures to my phone. I make them gif. 101x80
but they come out on the phone almost colourless
and with little dots. Not really good.
What is wrong. The program doesn't send them
right? The pictures are perfect on my PC. Ofcourse
I don't expect the quality to be as the PC's but not
like it is now. |

I have made some pictures with Photoshop.
When I send them to my phone they are
almost colourless. For example green is
displayed as very light brown. Does your
phone display pictures with live, bright colours?
Maybe there is something wrong with my T68? |

Your computer will always display a better picture because your PC shows millions of colors compared to T68i's 256 color scheme.
To approximate how your photo will look on your phone, use the 256 color scheme (palette) provided in this forum. Just save them in your photoshop folder and select the said scheme under "MODE" in photoshop.
This way, you can approximate how the photo will look once transferred to your phone.
Hope this helps.
Cheers. |

To Decoy7
Can you post to me privately. I will send you some
pictures to put on your phone to see if they are
displayed with the right colours on your T68.
I will send the pics that look like shit on my mobile.

Jamba is right!
I had the same probem before. What i did is, I downloaded MyPictures software from sonyericsson web site, install it on my PC. Then open 1 of the images included in the download (note: Choose the picture with lots of color), edit the picture by clicking the Color Dither then save it as gif. Then go to photoshop and open that gif you just created. Then go to Image/Mode/Indexed Color..., on the dialog box, select custom on the palette. There you will see the default color palette being used. Save it and everytime you create a picture for your T68i, use that color palette.
Hope this helps! |
