Hi,

I have a SonyEricsson V800, which was unlocked a few days ago. I am now using it on o2 PAYG. But I can no longer text my friends.

When I send the message it comes up with: SMS Failed - Unknown Recipent. Is this a problem with the sim card or the phone?

Please Help, Thanks Tom [addsig]

could be a fw or hw bug, caused by the unlock. bring it back and ask there for a solution.

Adham did it for me here. So you would suggest a FW upgrade? [addsig]

I'm on O2 PAYG and my SMS Service Centre is +44780 209 2035.

Go to O2 and you can get all the settings.

I using one of those 'special' free texts sim's off the eBay. The ones with free texts for life! The service centre number is definatley ok. I'm thinking that o2 have caught me (stopped the texts). I'll try a different sim tomorrrow.

Thanks for you help guys! [addsig]

if its agenie sim i think it works that you have to have at least £10 credit at the start of every month to get the free texts.
