I received this e-mail from Vodafone yesterday:

Thank you for your email regarding the new Sony Ericsson P800.
This phone is still in testing and has yet to be approved by Vodafone Ltd. If testing is successful the estimated launch time is September/ October.
At this stage we are unable to provide you with an upgrade cost.

I'd say Vodafone testing is not going to hold things up that much so a date before December is likely, especially as SE want to stop the 7650 taking off.
