I am evaluating Blaze Media Pro.
It allows compressing MP3s by altering their frequency, bitrate and quality. I squeezed a 125Mb album to 30Mb by setting 44Khz frequency, 64Kps bitrate and high quality. I'm overall satisfied with the quality of the output (which really only matters to a certain extent since I listen to MP3s while I'm commuting on some local - and noisy - bus!)

For god's sake amd1129, stop posting crap to get your post count up will you?!!?!? Since when did SMAN make MP3's smaller?
Try CDEX, it rips CD to MP3 at any bitrate and sampling rate you like and it lets you convert existing MP3's to .wav files, that can then be re-converted to MP3's at a lower bit rate.

Freeware.

@amd.. SMan....??? do you even know what SMan does..
@gangsta...you could try the solution offered by cyco....or you may also wanna convert the mp3 to ogg...it'll give you the same quality at 2/3rds the file size....i am presuming that you have a pxxx, coz other phones do not support ogg format at this point ( your avatar shows a s700)
