I have now had two phones with the exact same symptom. One T610 and one K700. As soon as I turn them on Im forced into the portable handfree profile and therefor no speaker or microphone. The K700i is working after a master reset but as soon as you restart the phone after that its the same problems. That lead me to believe that there was a software problem but the only thing that recognises the phones are the T610 USB-cable. The DSS-25 finds nothing and I have been unable to use davinci or anything else to update the phone. I was just wondering if this was some known issue and if there is any solution.

I've had that problem with a couple of T68is, which I think was down to the connectors on the bottom of the phone where the handsfree/charger etc goes in being dirty and/or damaged and faulty. Either that or something has been spilt on this area or that area has gotten wet and being slightly damaged.

Try cleaning these contacts with something quite stiff like a toothbrush, this may help possibly.

Thanks for the reply.

Ive actually done just that, cleaned the connector surfaces and replaced the charger contact but to no avail.
