Apparently O2 chose not to support the SMS delivery report feature that most of the phones come built-in with (I'm using a T68i now, but funny i thought the Nokia's delivery reports worked even with O2....) I've been using Samsungs for the last 3 years so I didn't know that...What you need to do instead is input: "*0#" before every single SMS (or create a template and use that if you want delivery reports). Now who stupid is that? It's 2002 people wake up!

Delivery reports on Orange only work on Nokia due to the network infrastructure being Nokia based...annoying to say the least!

This is absurb! They must be retards! Back in Greece there are 4 GSM networks and even the one with the fewer subscribers supports this feature. Talk about technological advance here

delivery reports do work on O2, just not when sending free sms.

my brother started getting them automatically in his Nokia (which had the feature turned on) as soon as his free sms was finished for teh month, strange but true...thats how he found out he was being charged for sending sms.

The thing I know is that I don't have the free SMS option and yet the phone feature doesn't work. Maybe it does on Nokias (refer to my first post).

There's a new player in the game now (don't remember the name) but [/rumours] I've heard that it uses the network of all the other providers to achieve it's coverage...One special thing to take notice here is that they don't charge monthly line rental, but their prices/sec are not the best around....Also I've heard that in case someone calls you, you also contribute in the call too (just to offset the non-existent monthly line rental).
