Don't Know if this has been mentioned before.. actually it was pointed out to me by my friend who had the k700... I tried it on my k750 too..

I am on firmware R1A and had the problem of The Mp3 volume being quite low compared to the Radio volume...

Well You can increase the volume of the Media player (mp3s) by a significant amount by manually increasing all the bars in the equaliser settings... and i don't think there is any compromise in quality... I'm not an equalizer expert, but my ears definitely detected an improvement in the quality as well as volume of the mp3s...and with the headset on - the volume is deafning on maximum... Through the back speaker too, the volume has significantly increased by about 30-40% and it's enough to be heard in an entire room...

Go to Media Player > More > Select Equaliser > Manual... and then manually increase all the 5 bars till the top > Save.

I hope this was of use to some of you...

-Cheers

Note: The Volume increases only if the files are played through music player and not through the file manager.

Edit: I have also posted this in Andaho's Power user's tips and tricks Thread... so mods can delete one of them if necessary..

if you are using an mp3 for ringtone you can convert it to monotone with a lower bit rate (32-64)to avoid the cracking sound in the speaker. do this only if you plan to use the mp3 for ringtones or for loudspeaker playback. (You'll surely notice the loss of quality if you use a stereo headset).
