Ice: put this in your mobile to alert your relatives |

I was shocked and saddened to watch the news this week of the terror attacks in London. In these sad and dangerous times i thought people in the UK in particular might be interested in learning about the ICE scheme. Basically it was introduced by Kent Ambulance Service. ICE stands for In case of emergency. If you put ICE in front of the name of say a relative or someone close to you, the ambulance service can contact your relatives in an emergency. This idea was circulating round the deaf forums in the UK, but has just hit mainstream media. See news from BBC below

Hope this is of help to people. Keep safe everyone. |
