It sounds like youve got a faulty battery, so i recommend you to hand it in for repair. But sometimes the bad standby can be solved with a new firmware. Update on the SE webpage. |

No, no, no the manual says to charge it for 4 hours the first time. It says this not only in the manual, but also in the brochure for how to get started. They couldn't have made it any more clear cut, do not pay any attention to the 16hr nonsense perpetuated by morons. I nearly fell for it when dialaphone came out with that crap.
Just ask yourself the question, who knows better how to care for the phone?, the guys who make them?, or the guys who sell them?. Clear cut really.
As for mine it lasts two days (not nights) which is really good, every other phone i've had have only lasted 1 day, included my T630 which struggled to get through a full day. |

I found with my P910 that the battery life was very bad when I first got it. I basically ignored the instructions in the manual (my work doesn't allow me to let the battery drain completely and charge for 16 hours or whatever etc.) and so I'd just stick it on charge when I got home and leave it overnight, apart from when I was using it of course. Basically I'm saying that I just put it charge whenever I could.
After about three weeks, the battery life started to improve and now I can get at least a good three days of moderate usage on a single full charge.
I'd give it at least a couple of more weeks; just charge it whenever you can for as long as you can (with the phone switched on) and see if it improves. If it doesn't, take it back to where you bought it from because as somebody has already said, you could have a faulty battery or phone.
But I doubt it. I think you'll find that the battery life gradually improves over time

It won't hurt the battery at all, especially if you leave the phone switched on while it's charging

mine and my friends phone lasts up to a max of 3 days, but thats with messing around on the phone, some radio, music etc, last week I just let it drop to around 4% and then charged it all night, it seems better now, but its the way these things are, more power and functions=more drain on battery.

The network signal can have an effect too, I've noticed on various phones that I can get an extra day or so out of a single charge when in a full signal strength area, and less in an area where it's weak (like where I live!)

I have the K750i for about 2 weeks now, and with about 2 hours usage of the MP3 player while commuting to work everyday, aside from the regular sending of SMS and making phone calls, it takes anywhere from 2-2.5 days before the battery icon turns red.
Dodgy battery? Maybe, or maybe not. Give it 2 more weeks and then try to observe if the battery life has improved. If not, then it's time to take it to the service center. |

I charged up my new 4th phone early evening on thursday for 2 hours only.
Have been listening to radio a couple of times, web browsing, used the bluetooth like a lot with a hands free, fair amount of phone calls. And playing with the camera and video recording.
Now it's sunday morning and it still has 52% charge. So i am very happy so far, and i got 2 batteries with my phone by mistake, so that was a bit of a bonus |

So how much should i charge up my phone for when its about to die or is dead? lol
My phone is dying after two days by listening to da radio/mp3, takin pics and vids...only two or three times a day for a short while and NOT for hours!
......and by reading wot 'raw_knee' rote that he listened to mp3 for two hours and the batterty died 2.5 days later!...dats pretty good compared to mine |

I received my phone last Thursday and diligently gave it a full 4 hours initial charge before using it. Since then I have taken probably 30 photographs, made/received 8-10 or so calls, and a similar amount of TXTs and have played a couple of MP3s, as well as the usual stuffing around with a new phone, sorting contacts list etc. This morning, Monday, still running on the initial charge the battery was reading 18%. So, I reckon the battery is pretty good so far.
In this K7501 Tips and Tricks thread there is some good discussion on battery charging protocols for the K750i too. Have a read, you might learn a thing or two ... I did.
