k750 v w800 v new ccd the best help |

my misses got a k750 last week, im really impressed with the video and pic quality compared to my previous k700. my contract on o2 runs out 29th august and im after a upgrade from my k700, i herd sony are releasing a modified k750 with a ccd camera instead of cmos is it worth the wait,when is it available on o2? their gona be much improvement from the current k7fo? or shall i wait for the w800? whats diffrence between w800 and k750? what shall i buy from the 29th august? im after good pic quality,video,email,and radio.does w800 have these? and good storage.i herd about 02 degrading k750 video camera, but my misses had hers 2weeks now and hers ok.what u recomend for me? |

yes come on searched yeah, still know diffrence and idea what! all im asking is i want camera 2mp,video,email,radio@3d java from a k700 upgrade to what the hell next? my uprage 1month away whats is best? w800 lack anythin on k750? misses got one and ok? Is it worth waiting for w800 if a matter of a few days? and whats this buisness about k750 improving the camera to ccd from cmos?thats all i ask as no one makes it clear here as if they aint got a clue,thats why i ask! i aint gona get a k7f0 in 3weeks if they havin ccd put in it at 4weeks or the w800 is loads better at 5weeks thats why i ask, just want a straight answer without this search answer which is no HELP like.l want a straight answer thats why io have logged in and asked ESATO for advic, Simple as that! |

Easy glassjaw easy. Looks like he is not much into the details and when u dont know things it hard to even think what you want to read and not. He could have done more by himself but go easy 
As for the answers to original poster. New version of K750 with CCD is only a rumor until now, there is no surity its coming out or even if it is, there is no date.
As for W800, there is not much difference in internals. Exterior of W800 and K750 are different alltogether and W800, being branded a Walkman, has a media player with more functions. In hardware, u just get bigger memory stick and better headset, but that comes with the higher price u have to pay.
Video quality is problem of later firmwares but its supposed to get fixed in near future by another update. By time u get ur phone I hope this issue will be resolved. |

went to carphone warehouse in birmingham other day and they confirmed to me that their would be a upgraded k750 with ccd camera but didnt know when released,all i ask is does the w88 better the k750 in allways? ie camera,video@mp3? shall i get a improved version of k750 with this? pr is the w800 worth the upgrade? i have k700 and misses as k750 and i like it! or do i wait the two months or so and get better? i know it hard to judge until relesed but what are peoples thoghts as to what they know about specs? aint all about looks to me but to what the phone can do in two months time! as i can only afford one upgrade a year and askin ESATO what do i do? k750 now or K750 with better ccd or w800? Like i said memory card, best video, camera,email,and 3d java all thats important, mp3 is a bonus. searched the sites and came up with no idea in my situation too upgrade in two months time, |

any other phones being releaed that aint son ericsson with as good or better camera and video, with 3d java,email,memory cad and radio thats worth waiting for by any other consumer ie nokia samsung? that fits this bill, as i only want the best for a k700 upgrade today? been with sony ericsson for 3years and never tryed anything else,just asking your advices,could be here all day searching, and aint got the time like with work and kids. |

@REO lol. @glass have some manners. @wolf Well as far i know the w800 is going to release real soon i mean end of this month or even sooner.. Or atleast when your new contract begins. Go for the w800 they are both same as mentioned.. And new ccd lens k750 ll also be soon in the market but not sure when..

imho glassjaw do have a point !!
the search feature is here for a reson, and the many questions being asked have either been answered a million times in other threads (comparison of k750/w800) or are questions that cannot be answered (the ccd question)
There are loads and loads of threads about the differences between k750 and w800, answers to this are easyli found using search or simply reading the forum. No point in making another thread listing the differences.
Noone knows anything about the ccd question, it has not been officially confirmed, nor tested, so noone can tell if its going to be worth the wait or not, or how long the waith would have to be. This is common sence.
Forum etiquette is not only about answering, this is not the S//E helpdesk where people are obliged to come up with answers for lazy posters, forum etiquette is just as much about finding information for yourself by searching/reading before asking questions that can allready be found in the forum.
The point of a forum is to be a knowledgebase, a database where answers can be found, not just a helpdesk.
So the poster does not have time to seach or find information himself because of work and kids ? then sorry maybe I dont have time to answer because of work and kids.
Its poor forum etiquette for a poster to take for granted that people should answer. If people do answer its because they are helpfull, not because the poster has any demands to get answers.
No offence to the original poster intended, but just a general input to the question on forum etiquette.
To answer the original poster, w800 is simply a k750 with different casing and different firmware allowing flight mode, and a different mediaplayer. Its the same hardware, with the same features/quality in every other aspect. It also comes with a different headset and a bigger memorycard. If these differences are worth the bigger price and the wait is up to you.
About the ccd question, noone can answer untill its released and tested, that wont happen untill earliest by christmas.
About other phones coming out, there are allways new phones coming out, and there are many on the market, giving general advice on what to get or what to wait for is impossible. Everyone has their own opinion on what is important, do you want a candybar/clamshell/swiwel phone ? do you need smartphone features ? how much money do you want to spend on a phone ? etc etc

NEW INFORMATION! You are all mistaken. The W800 is rumoured to be made with CHEAPER parts than the K750. In fact, it is true. The W800's features are the same but the quality of the features are not. The screen is not as good, neither is the camera, as sources have said.
Buy the K750 and upgrade it to W800 firmware

hardware is the same, otherwise you would not be able to switch firmware between them.

www.bengalboy.com you can find out for yourself about the w800 and the materials its made from etc.
also there appears that the ccd in the k750 is nothing more than a rumour. |

The display is identical to the one used in K750i.
