Have succesfully flashed to Z800 R1AB013 but when I use vodafone live now i dont get the graphical menu and no downloads are available.
I think this is because the phone model info is changed to z800??? if so - how can i change this back to v800?? |

The only way to get the Vodafone Live 3G downloads is to go back to V800 firmware. |

@ jcwhite
I had this same problem when I flashed my V800 to Z800i, can you reflash and just change the CDA back to V800? and keep Z800 firmware.
Owner of V800 flashed to Z800i, now with campagne covers. |

Unfortunately you cant have it both ways. You either have a full v800 or a full z800

Converting back to a fully working Vodafone V800 is pretty hard too. The firmware is there but the Operator Specific (ie Vodafone UK, Vodafone NZ) isn't.
I had a V800 that I converted to a Z800. Customer didn't like it and wanted it converted back. I did it, but it would then error when trying to access Vodafone Live! in NZ. Flashing it back to Z800i and it'd work again (though without all the icons etc as mentioned)

I will have a word with vodafone to see if they can update their database to recognise the Z800 as a V800 within Vodafone live!
This should work |

andrewlane: They have pretty strict procedures in place for handsets they will and won't support on Live! (so their customer support people know how to help)
I very much doubt they will do it. Let us know what they say, I'd be interested.

Tried my best and had a word with some colleagues in the live! team, but they won't support a handset until they've fully tested all content etc. The Z800 is not on the plan for testing so at this stage will not be supported
Sorry guys
