K700i on O2 UK and the Sony Ericsson Online Update Service. |

Hey guys,
My first post! Just about to get a K700i and I have heard all sorts of rumours about the firmware being rubbish (I am getting the phone from a friend who got the phone in November 2004, apparently peak time for bad firmware). I have read that you cannot update the firmware using the Update Service if your phone is O2 branded? However, I have also read that this is no longer the case, and you can infact download updated firmware. Can anyone clear this up? I don't want to waste money on a DSS-25 Sync Station if you cannot upgrade the firmware on it because of O2's lack of competence (DON'T get me started...)
Any help greatly appreciated,
Cheers. |

I sucessfully updated my O2 branded K700i a couple of months ago. I haven't tried since, but I don't see why you shouldn't still be able to. |

Thanks a lot, I thought so, but I could only find posts from Febuary. Oh well, I can always return the dss-25 if it doesn't work! |

Are SE support just really behind, or can I not update the firmware? It just gets ever more confusing... |
