K750i - Signal strength indicator "Emergency Calls only" - True or false? |

A couple of times now I have had my phone telling me I have signal (first time 2 bars, next time maximum -1) and yet the phone said "Emergency Calls only".
Is this as simple as the signal strength indicator is lying, or is there another explanation?
I'm with Vodafone in the UK. |

It's not lying. It means it has some signal, but not a vodafone signal, so it's locking onto another network--but "for emergency calls only."
I get this at my gym all the time, which is apparently a black hole, but only for my operator. |

It happens when your phone is receiving a signal, but not from your operator.
Its common if your operator has poor coverage, or their signal cannot be received inside come buildings. Where i work i always get full bars coverage, but never get coverage from my own network (o2).
