My beloved S700 has just failed. I switched it off and it wont switch on. The screen flashes, it vibrates, the screen goes off then it repeats the cycle. It is insured with Phones4U but the £50 excess is hard to swallow. It is still under warranty with SE. Whats the best option? How long should I expect to wait if I pack it off to the Service Centre?

Take it back to where you bought it as it is their responsibilty to support any malfunctions taht you have with the phone.
It is also worth having a word with your local carphone warehouse repair dept as they will normally fix any phone that is under warrenty as long as you can provide a proof of purchase. This route will probably be quicker thgan going to phones4u if cpw will do it for you.

Thanks JC. Have just been looking for the P of P, will have a look tomorrow but my brother works in CPW so I might give him a nudge.
