Hi folks!

called Vodafone customer services today and asked about the Toshiba TS921. ( 902T in Japan )

http://www.vodafone.jp/english/products/model_3G/v902t/index.html

They said the planned date for release is next Tuesay 12th July.

I know Toshiba finished testing about about 12 days ago, and it is in final testing with Vodafone.

I think the Sharp 903 will be released or August, from what I hear...

Do you know if the 902T (Japanese version), not the TS921, can be unlocked to work on local SIM cards in the US's 1900Mhz GSM network? I've heard that Japanese GSM-capable phones only work with Japanese SIM cards except for for their newer phones. Is the 902T one of them? Hopefully so, because I have access to the 902T. It's just a matter of whether or not I'll be able to use it here in the US.

if it's locked it'll be locked via the sim card and not a bandwidth lock.
You just need to check what bandwidths it supports.

I know the red one's coming home with me.

Well, the cracking took an age on the 902 and perhaps it's the HK firmware that people go for.

But no Japanese input with that, and still problems!

I will have one in my hand on October 1st, a 903sh, that is....!
