OK, got myself a new K750i, and Im having trouble "finding" it with my other blue tooth devices (laptop, PDA and work mobile). All the others can find each other, and the K750i can see them all, but no-one can see the K750i... very annoying as I wnt to send some pictures to and from my laptop...
Any ideas here people? I have the phone as "view to all" with a name I will recognise... |

If the phone is visible and shown to all, theres no reason why it cannot be found.
Whats your firmware edition ?
It sounds like you might need to perform a master reset if theres a software problem causing it.

Yup...check your BT settings and see if your phone is in Discoverable mode....

@etaab - How do I check the fw level, and how do I perform a master reset (will this remove any stuff I have on the phone, contacts, photo's, videos, games etc)
@mrao - the phone is set to visible to all... |

From the standby screen with a combination of joystick direction pushes and the star key, type in:
> * < < * < *
Then choose Service Info, followed by Software Info.
It'll show you a number starting with the letter R, such as R1A002 or something. Thats your firmware version.
To perform a master reset, go to SETTINGS / GENERAL / MASTER RESET.
Be aware though that performing a master reset restores your phone back to its factory status - everything but predefined items will be deleted. So, before you do so, backup all your phonebook contacts, appointments, notes, tasks, games, themes, pictures and sounds onto your computer.
After the master reset, try to see if your Bluetooth still has this problem. If it does, the only thing i could recommend is getting the phones software reinstalled or checked for hardware faults from your local SE dealer.

if you are using native bluetooth drivers. you have to enable "receive items" tab to transfer files. otherwise you should install the drivers that come with the bluetooth dongle.

@ spoonbender - the original problem was with the phone, not his dongle.
You're welcome Nex.
