Have they connected you yet? Sounds like they haven't connected your line yet.

Also, have you tried the sim in another phone? 'sim card registration failed' also tends to come up when a phone has been blocked or blacklisted! If you get the same error message, or something like 'sim error' (the message varies depending on the phone manufacturer) then it's the sim card that's at fault. If it connects fine, gets a signal and can make/recieve calls etc. in another phone, then there's a problem with the handset you got with the contract.

Ive never know sim card registration failed caused by your phone being blocked. Norm Sim card reg failed is caused as your sim card is not valid, (switched on)?

Nokia phones say that when locked, I've had a few I've repaired then had that dreaded message come up! SEs say 'Invalid Mobile'.

Like sammy_boy said, "Sim card registration Failed" tends to lean towards a phone being blocked/barred/blacklisted. Try other simcards, if it's the same result the phone is blocked. Unblocking is illegal btw.

Sorry mate i misread, i thought you bought the phone from someone else... but anyways, those are the signs of it being blocked for anybody else in the same situation!
