help with s710a contact specific mp3 ringtones |

I recently purchased the sexy s710a and couldn't be happier with a cell phone. The only problem I've had with it is when I put an MP3 on the memory stick duo, the MP3 appears in the global ringtones list, but it does not appear on the list when I try to assign a ringtone to a contact through the contacts profile. Can anybody tell me what I'm missing? |

is your phone branded? (t-mobile, vodafone, etc.) Some features are disabled when you purchase branded phones. one solution-- (though i'm not advising you to do it)-- is flashing the phone to an unbranded fw. please consult other threads regarding the pros and cons of flashing.

actually i had this problem. once the MP3 appears in the list, copy it from the memory stick to the phone, then it should work.
what happens when you go to sounds, then more then use and set as ringtone?
but if you try my frst idea, im 98% sure it should work.

how do you transfer your mp3? if you are using file manager and the usb cable (or a card reader for that matter). be sure to put it in the audio subfolder and not the sounds folder. otherwise, you really won't see your file.
if you're using infrared or bluetooth. it will find it's way automatically to the audio folder of the memory stick.

@AKIRA
If you're using BT you shoud see your phones music files on PC and simply drag and drop in there.
