SMS Delivery reports on O2 (how to get them) |

This may have been discussed before but can't find it, so sorry if it is a repeat.
As O2 do not support SMS delivery reports by just activating the option in message settings here is what you do........
Start a new text message and before you begin type
*0# followed by a space and begin your message, the other person does not see the code but you will get a message back saying when it has been delivered.
Enjoy....S

so this needs to go at the beginning of the text message? I thought it went before the senders number? |

No, it's the first three (four including space) characters of the actual message body.

a space is not necessary because the *0# is not shown on the recipients phone.

Have been using that trick for ages. I have discussed it on Esato a few times already.

i was told by an o2 csa 2/3 years ago that the text msgin part if the network was very old and due for a major upgrade, afaik this has STILL not happend and with o2 pushing 3g and looking to close down 2g i think its safe to say, no matter how far away the shutdown, a major upgrade of any part of the 2g net wont happen. |
