I hope that wasn't a real chick!
In poor taste, but funny!!!
Let's see that happen to the Crazy Frog next! The original meaning of the term 'frog in a blender'

The website says that no animals were harmed, but quite frankly I fail to see the humour in it whether the animal is real or not.

If no animals were harmed i don't see why we can't see the funny side to it?...I actually think it is very funny and as sammyboy said i also want to see a frog in the blender next and hopefully a bear aswell!

The fact is that the humour rests upon finding the notion of killing an animal in a blender funny. Black humour can be funny, but in this case I really don't see it being amusing at all. I don't particuarly find the concept of cruelty to animals amusing and whether the animal was real or not it would still require me to find the idea of a chick being killed in a blender as funny, which I do not.

Obviously their is no humour in an animal being crushed in a blender but in this case it clearly is a practical joke intended to poke fun at the Tweety bird Ringtone and please don't overlook the fact thats its NOT REAL..its just aother step foward to the numerous Kill the Crazy Frog threads we have had here recently...but you have your opinion and thats ok....But god i love it...really looking forward to the Frog in a blender one now!

I get the 'joke', but as I said, I find the premise, which it is based upon, to be utterly lacking in humour.

Call me old fashioned, but laughing at the supposed deliberate killing of an animal just doesn't tickle my funny bone.

I think you should concentrate on the joke more rather than looking into morality issues of a fake bird being crused....this is intended as a joke and should be seen as such...I rest my case!

But then that is just the point. I don't find the idea of cruelty to animals to be amusing. I know the animal in question wasn't real, but that still doesn't make me think it is any funnier. It takes the idea of killing a defenceless animal and puts it forward as a joke. The animal may not be real, but when I watch it makes me think of that being done to a real animal. Either way I don't find it terribly funny or clever.

By you saying this your suggesting that by me actually seeing the joke/Humour in this that i actually i find animal cruelty amusing?...I am as much against animal cruelty as you are...Not for one second could ever imagine a real bird or indeed any other creature (even a frog )in that scenario...I was actually laughing the whole way through that clip...Its about time someone stood up against these crappy ringtones!

I didn't say that you did or even suggest such a thing, the inference is your own.
I can see the where the joke is supposed to be and I can't say that I am a huge fan of such ringtones, but I just don't think that this was particuarly funny or appropriate.
I'm not judging others if they think it is funny, after all it isn't a real animal. Personally I find it to be in rather poor taste.

Well thats fine that you think that this is poor taste i don't think it is,and i'm sure the vast majority will see the funny side of this and not concentrate on the supposidly animal cruelty aspect.
