Don't buy the 8310! |

Both Nokia and independent British networks now refusing to replace or repair the infamous 8310 software bug which 'switches your phone off' when you send a text message. A rumoured one in five have this fault, and there's absolutely nothing you can do at present to fix it as far as I'm aware. Absolute crud. Even on Orange, after three months of vigorous bet-testing, this major problem has slipped through the net! I'm rather glad that I don't still have mine, as I send around 1,000 text messages every month -- although passed it on to my partner and it's still bug-free. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones?
Hope that the 83 isn't going to become another T18 or 8210.

Do u know wat is sw ver of this nokia that has this bug.
I got this experience last time.
But since i upgrade the sw to ver.05.06 this problem solve.
